Research Interests
The Westbrook lab is dedicated to tackling fundamental problems in cancer biology and leveraging our discoveries into therapeutic approaches for cancer patients. We have developed new genetic platforms for identifying the gene networks that govern cancer pathogenesis. We focus much of our efforts on understanding triple-negative breast cancer, a common and aggressive subtype of breast cancer. But many of the principles and pathways that we discover impact our understanding across human malignancy.
