Ensor works on the theoretical development of statistical methods for practical problems, with a focus on environmental and financial statistics. Her areas of interest include risk management, spatial-temporal methods and spatial statistics, among others. Her recent work has looked at heart attack incidence and air quality levels in Houston as well as a model-based approach for clustering air quality monitoring networks in Houston.
