Dr. Taylor Kim researches furthering our understanding of immune hematologic disorders, in particular pediatric immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). Dr. Kim is studying genetic risk factors for development of chronic immune thrombocytopenia. The goal of this research is to better understand the cause of pediatric immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and to be able to predict the clinical course of an individual patient. The aim of this research is to ultimately improve how pediatric immune thrombocytopenia patients are treated.
