My current research interests are: (a) Health service research using large data (e.g., Medicare claims data), with a focus on post-acute care. (b) Longitudinal aging study, with a focus on frailty transition and disability in minority. (c) Functional outcome measurement (expertise in Rasch measurement and Item Response Theory). (d) Crosswalk between instruments and instrumental development (e.g., item banking, short form and computerized adaptive testing). My optimal research goal is to build a bridge between clinical practice and scientific research, to optimize the quality of healthcare and minimize care cost, further changing the healthcare administration policy.
