In the last five years, he has received R00, R13, R21, R01, U01, CPRIT Rising Stars, UT STARs awards as principal investigator, as well as distinguished and best paper awards from AMIA Summit on Clinical Research Informatics (CRI) and Translational Bioinformatics (TBI).
