Dr. Yammine practices as family nurse practitioner in a clinic that provides primary care to underserved residents of rural Texas. Her research interest focuses on the biological and behavioral pathways linking psychosocial factors (i.e., depression, post-traumatic stress disorder) to cardiovascular disease. She has received the Dean's Research Award for a study that will explore the relationship between psychological trauma and cardiovascular health.
