Doctor Vikas Kundra, M.D., Ph.D. is a Professor and Director of Molecular Imaging in the Department of Radiology, U.T.- M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and has a joint appointment in the Department of Cancer Systems Imaging. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. from Harvard University and completed his training at Harvard Medical School's Brigham and Women's Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Society of Body Computed Tomography-Magnetic Resonance Imaging and a Distinguished Investigator of the Academy of Radiology Research. In addition to his multiple clinical and basic/translational science papers Dr. Kundra is grant funded. He is and/or has been a principal investigator, co-PI or collaborator on several grants including from the National Institutes of Health, Department of Energy and Alliance of Nanohealth. In addition to being grant funded, Dr. Kundra is patented and has pending patents that include: Fusion Proteins Based on Somatostatin Receptors (2002) and Methods and Composition Related to In Vivo Imaging of Gene Expression (2005).
