We believe that nanotechnologies capable of controlling and recording specific cells and circuits within the brain will reveal fundamental principles of brain function and advance the treatment of neurological disorders. In our lab we develop a wide range of these "nano-neurotechnologies" including nanoelectrodes for neural stimulation and recording, nanophotonic neural interfaces, and nanomagnetic neuromodulation.
